LiuGong, a global manufacturer of heavy construction equipment, continues its North American expansion and is relying on Perkins engines in that endeavor. LiuGong chose Perkins to power its newest wheel loader and compact track loader.
The selection by LiuGong is a continuation of a relationship it has developed with Perkins in Asia and traveled with the company when it established its North America headquarters in Katy, Texas.
LiuGong was founded in China and established its North American headquarters in 2008. The company wasted little time in expanding its product offering to include a wheel loader line, excavator and skid steers. The company has also established a dealer network of more than 50 locations.
LiuGong selected the Perkins 1204F to power its 835H wheel loader. The Tier 4, 4.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine was designed as a versatile option that has been used in more than 800 different models of equipment.
The 835H Wheel Loader that now features the Perkins engine has a bucket capacity of 2.5 cubic yards. The multiple options for installing the engine means that accessing it for service and maintenance is easy.
The 854F is also being used in a new compact track loader that is being developed.
Perkins Pacific Support
Our established network of service dealers is already reaching out to LiuGong dealers in their area to make early connections. Our factory-trained technicians are ready to handle service and maintenance needs of the engine. They are also training the LiuGong technicians.
“The training that Perkins Pacific has provided has been great for strengthening the relationship between LiuGong and its dealer network,” said Joe Sterling, LiuGong’s product support representative.
